UNC Rex Healthcare and CMS Controls met to discuss the planned new heart and vascular facility at Rex Hospital. The new building was in the planning stages and set to be the premier Heart and Vascular Hospital in North Carolina, situated prominently in front of their main campus in Raleigh.

The first building officially opened in August 2018, with plans for the 94-acre site to include up to 9 instructional buildings. CMS Controls was tasked with supporting WTCC in construction of its second building on this new campus.
